The Miniature Caballito, crafted from totora reed, is made by the Uros community, an Indigenous group living on floating islands in Lake Titicaca. This piece reflects the rich maritime heritage of the Caballitos de Totora, traditional reed boats that have been used by the Uros and other local communities for centuries for fishing and transportation.
